In an interview on Arise News, Senator Ali Ndume from 10:26, the Federal Lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District, has revealed a harrowing account of a Boko Haram massacre in his local government area, where 75 Quranic elders were brutally murdered.
Speaking emotionally about the tragedy, Senator Ndume narrated how the victims elderly men who had gathered for Qur’anic recitation were captured by the insurgents and taken to a slaughterhouse in his village.
In his words, “In my own local government, Quranic elders that were reading Quran, 75 of them were taken to slaughter house in my village by Boko Haram and they were slaughtered one after the other. Only one of them escaped because the blood of others covered him and then he fainted, so they thought he’s dead.”
The senator said the incident was one of the darkest moments for the people of Borno South, stressing that it reflects the brutality and inhumanity of the terrorist group.
He lamented that despite repeated attacks, many rural communities in the North-East still face insecurity, displacement, and loss of lives. View, More,
