Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has stated that the claims by U.S. President Donald Trump about Christian genocide in Nigeria are false and politically motivated.
In a video shared by Channels TV from 1:10, Wike said it made no sense for anyone to accuse the Nigerian government of supporting the killing of Christians when many of the country’s top security and government officials are Christians. He said the Inspector General of Police, the Director General of the Department of State Services, and the Chief of Defence Staff are all Christians.
Wike also said that even the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff are Christians. He stated that it was unreasonable for anyone to believe that a government made up of Christians would support the killing of its own people

Today the chief of Defense is a Christian, the former Chief of Defence is a Christian. The secretary to the government is a Christian.
