Several reactions have trailed the comment that was made by the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi after the United State President, Donald Trump threatened military action in Nigeria.
The reaction of the former governor of Anambra state was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, November 3, 2025.
According to CHANNELS TV, the US President said if the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu fails to stop the killings of Christians, the US Army will intervene and wipe out Islamic terrorists.
However, Peter Obi has now shared his thoughts after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he condemned the killing of Nigerians by bandits and terrorists. The former governor of Anambra state said Nigeria and the United State of America have been partners for a long time and the relationship should not be allowed to falter.
Here is what Peter Obi wrote on his official X handle;
“While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence, commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of the APC led government”.
