In an interview on Trust TV from 37:09, Professor Sadeeque Abba, a renowned scholar of International Relations at the University of Abuja, has issued a strong warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over alleged plans to seek diplomatic lobbying with the United States regarding recent allegations of Christian genocide.

Professor Abba expressed deep dissatisfaction with what he described as unnecessary attempts to “pacify America,” insisting that Nigeria must stand firm and independent in the face of foreign pressure.

“If Tinubu is planning to go to do lobby diplomatic otherwise to pacify America on this, I’m going to lead demonstration tomorrow against Tinubu in Abuja. We don’t need the Americans. If they come, we take care of them. Look, wars are not won by weapons and and look, America has everything. They have the naval force. They have the airbase. But you cannot win war by bombing and staying in the air or inside the sea. You must come on the land. We are waiting for them,” he declared.

The professor’s fiery remarks come amid rising tensions following statements allegedly made by U.S. President Donald Trump accusing Nigerian authorities of overseeing a “Christian genocide.”

Abba, however, dismissed such claims as politically motivated and called for national unity in defending Nigeria’s image.

He further emphasized that any form of diplomatic lobbying would amount to a betrayal of Nigeria’s sovereignty and warned that the academic community and civil society groups were ready to resist such actions. View, More,
