According to a report published by Nigerian Tribune on November 2, 2025, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remain vigilant as international attention grows over reports of alleged Christian killings in Nigeria.
His warning follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent claim that Christians are facing genocide in Nigeria, leading to the country’s designation as a “nation of particular concern.” The development has sparked diplomatic unease and concerns about possible sanctions or U.S. intervention.
Speaking through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said the controversy surrounding the genocide allegations is not coincidental but part of a calculated plan by both local and foreign interests to destabilize Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
The cleric, known for his political prophecies, stated that the U.S. government’s posture aligns with the agenda of certain opposition figures seeking to use international influence to weaken the president’s grip on power.
“It’s a gang-up plan to remove you from office. Don’t sleep, more is coming. He needs to seek the face of God. The American government doesn’t want Tinubu in 2027,” he said.
Ayodele’s message, which comes amid heightened diplomatic tensions between Abuja and Washington, urged the president to act decisively and spiritually to safeguard his government from external manipulation.
He emphasized that the unfolding situation is not merely about religion but part of a broader scheme to discredit Nigeria’s leadership on the global stage.
The cleric’s warning adds to a growing wave of reactions within Nigeria, as political and religious leaders continue to respond to Trump’s controversial statements about alleged Christian persecution and the U.S. government’s stance on Nigeria’s internal security issues. View, More,
