Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reacted after embarking on a working visit to China to inspect the newly acquired surveillance aircraft purchased by his administration to reinforce the state’s security architecture. The governor shared details of the visit through a post on his official X handle, where he also expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far.
In the photos he posted, Governor Makinde was seen alongside Chinese engineers and aviation specialists as he examined the aircraft closely. He explained that the purpose of the inspection was to ensure that the aircraft meets the required standards and is fully equipped to support ongoing security operations across Oyo State.
According to him, the aircraft was specifically bought by his administration as part of a long-term strategy to improve intelligence gathering, aerial surveillance, and rapid response to criminal activities. He noted that modern technology remains a key tool in building a safer environment for residents and businesses.
