General Christopher Musa, the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has stated that he is leaving the Nigerian military with a clear conscience, confident that he gave his best in service to the nation, as reported by CHANNELSTV on Friday October 31 2025.

Speaking during his pull-out parade in Abuja, General Musa reflected on his decades of dedicated service, expressing pride in the battles fought and victories shared with comrades. He emphasized that while he may be leaving active duty, his spirit as a soldier remains strong.

General Musa said his time in the military was marked by loyalty, sacrifice, and a deep love for Nigeria. He noted that the memories of camaraderie and shared triumphs will remain with him even in retirement.
