In an interview with TVC News From 4:05, Sam Nwanosike, the former Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State, demanded the immediate arrest of Ikenga Ugochinyere, the spokesperson for G60. Nwanosike accused Ugochinyere of inciting crisis and breakdown of law and order in the state, citing his recent statements on the Court of Appeal’s judgment.
Nwanosike argued that Ugochinyere’s actions are illegal and that he has no immunity outside the chamber of the house. He alleged that Ugochinyere is attempting to stir up trouble in Rivers State to impress Governor Fubara and secure financial gain.
The former chairman emphasized that the Court of Appeal’s judgment should be respected, and Ugochinyere’s attempts to undermine it are unacceptable. He urged the Inspector General of Police to take swift action and arrest Ugochinyere to prevent further escalation of tensions in the State.
In his words;
“He has no point, Ikenga is not the Supreme Court of Nigeria. In fact, Ikenga should be arrested as at this moment for inciting crisis and breakdown of law and order in Rivers State. In a proper sense of Democracy, Ikenga has no immunity as long as he’s outside the chamber of the house, all his activities are illegal. I’m calling on the Inspector General of Police that Ikenga has to be arrested immediately because he’s infuriating crisis in a State where he does not come because he was looking for money from Governor Fubara who has agreed with the judgement of the Court of Appeal”
