James Mike, also known as Flag Boy, expressed deep disappointment after being tear-gassed by Nigerian security operatives during the recent Free Nnamdi Kanu protest. Speaking to journalists after the incident, Mike said he felt betrayed by the same police officers he had spent months defending and supporting in the past.

In a video shared by TV Platinum from 3:22, he recalled how he stood for days and weeks at the National Assembly and Force Headquarters, demanding better pay and working conditions for the Nigerian Police. Mike explained that he did all this under the sun and rain without any form of support or payment. According to him, his protests were not for personal benefit but to push for fair treatment and justice for police officers across the country.

He also spoke about his efforts to have police officers removed from the pension scheme, which he described as unfair. He said many officers serve the nation for 35 years only to retire with about two million naira, which he considered a poor reward for their years of dedication.

Mike expressed sadness that despite all his sacrifices, the same police he once defended turned against him during the protest. He was tear-gassed along with other peaceful protesters who came out to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

In his words, “I stood under the sun and rain to protest for them, the thank you Nigeria police have to tell me today is to teargas me, because I came out to exercise my franchise as a Nigerian.” See, More, Here>>>
