The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stirred fresh conversation on Nigeria’s political landscape with a new prophecy concerning the Igbo people and the prolonged detention of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Speaking during a prophetic session in Lagos from 1:59, the outspoken cleric declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not to blame for Kanu’s continued incarceration. Instead, he attributed the situation to internal divisions and political disunity within the South-East.

“It is not Tinubu that detained Nnamdi Kanu,” Ayodele said pointedly. “The Igbo people have mortgaged themselves politically. They are the ones making it difficult for their region to produce a president. Until there is unity and sincerity among them, it will remain almost impossible for an Igbo man to lead this nation.”

According to Ayodele, the persistent rivalry, lack of cooperation, and self-centeredness among Igbo political elites have eroded the region’s collective strength and bargaining power at the national level. He emphasized that political success requires more than ambition — it demands sacrifice, cohesion, and a shared vision.

The cleric cautioned Igbo politicians against relying on external forces for validation, urging them to instead focus on rebuilding trust and solidarity among themselves. “The destiny of the Igbo people is in their own hands,” he warned. “Until they stop betraying one another and start supporting themselves genuinely, Nigeria will not give them the opportunity they seek.

Primate Ayodele further appealed to political stakeholders across Nigeria to promote fairness, inclusiveness, and justice in governance. He warned that the peace and unity of the country depend largely on how leadership opportunities are distributed among all regions.

The prophecy, which has since sparked debate online, underscores the ongoing conversation about Nigeria’s fragile ethnic relations and the future of political equity in the federation. See, More, Here>>>
