US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Hamas, declaring that the militant group must surrender its weapons or face forceful disarmament by the United States and its allies.

Speaking during a meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei at the White House on Tuesday, Trump stated, “If they don’t disarm, we will disarm them — and it will happen quickly and perhaps violently.”

According to Jerusalem Post, the president’s comments followed his earlier social media post accusing Hamas of breaching the 72-hour deadline set for the return of all hostages — both living and dead — held in Gaza.

“The job is not done. Phase Two begins right now,” Trump wrote, referring to the next stage of his Gaza peace plan.

According to an Israeli diplomat who spoke to The Jerusalem Post, Phase One focused on securing the release of hostages, while Phase Two seeks to demilitarize Gaza and establish a temporary Palestinian administration.

The full framework of Trump’s multi-phase Gaza plan has yet to be made public.

The 72-hour ultimatum, agreed upon by Hamas and Israeli negotiators, expired Monday with at least 24 bodies of hostages still in Hamas custody.

In response, Israel announced restrictions on humanitarian aid entering Gaza. Egyptian recovery teams have since joined efforts inside the enclave to locate the remains of missing captives.

On Tuesday evening, Hamas said it would return four more sets of remains to Israel.

The partial compliance, however, has not eased tensions, as both Israel and Washington intensify pressure on the group to comply with ceasefire terms and disarmament commitments.

Trump’s threat underscores growing impatience within his administration as the fragile Gaza truce continues to unravel amid escalating mistrust and sporadic violence. See, More, Here>>>
