Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo, the Amanyanabo of Torusarama Piri, has opened up about his early religious upbringing and involvement in the church.

In a video from 5:00 shared on Facebook on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Dokubo revealed that he was raised by his grandmother, who was an Anglican Christian. Despite this, he said he was more drawn to the Baptist Church during his childhood.

He explained that he regularly attended church activities, including Sunday services and youth programmes, where he was actively involved. Over time, he rose to the role of a Sunday school teacher.

Dokubo also noted that many individuals he taught back then have now become pastors in the Baptist Church.

In his words: “I was attracted more to the Baptist Church than the Anglican Church. In fact, I cannot remember while growing up any day that I attended the Anglican Church or entered an Anglican Church on Sunday. My grandmother was liberal so I used to go to the Baptist Church. I took part in the Baptist Church’s Sunday activities, youth activities, I became a Sunday school teacher and there are so many people on the Baptist Church today who passed through me.” Read_More…
