According to a report by The Times Of Israel, US President Donald Trump has said that he has received “guarantees” from both Israel and Hamas, as well as from other regional partners, regarding the first stage of the ceasefire and hostage release agreement, along with commitments for subsequent phases of the plan.

“We have a lot of verbal guarantees, and I don’t think they’re going to want to disappoint me,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, expressing confidence that the parties involved would honor their promises.

The Republican leader said, “My relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is very good,” adding, “I had some disputes with him and they were quickly settled.” His remarks indicated that despite past differences, the two leaders have maintained a strong working relationship amid ongoing Middle East peace efforts.

Trump also said he hopes to visit Gaza one day, though he did not provide a specific timeline for such a visit, acknowledging the considerable security challenges it would entail. “I would be proud to,” he said. “I’d like to put my feet on it at least.”

The president went on to outline his plan for establishing a new governing authority in Gaza “very quickly” following the current phase of negotiations. Under his proposed framework, Trump himself would lead the initiative to form a new administration for the war-torn enclave, aimed at restoring order and rebuilding essential infrastructure.

However, Trump appeared to temper expectations regarding his earlier proposal to involve former British prime minister Tony Blair in the process. Blair’s potential role has drawn criticism in the region due to his part in the 2003 Iraq invasion. “I’ve always liked Tony, but I want to find out that he’s an acceptable choice to everybody,” Trump said, suggesting a more cautious and inclusive approach moving forward.
