In an interview with TVC TV from 8:16, lawyer and public affairs analyst Liborous Oshoma urged President Bola Tinubu to take decisive action regarding the certificate forgery allegations against Minister Uche Nnaji.

Oshoma emphasized that the president has a vested interest in ensuring the matter is thoroughly investigated. “The president needs to do himself a big favor by ensuring that this is pursued to a logical conclusion,” he stated.

The analyst pointed to ongoing scrutiny of the president’s own academic credentials as a reason for swift action. “Because, mind you, some people are still rushing to Chicago to say, ‘Look, this president did not graduate from there.’ Some people are still saying, ‘No, we will ensure that his academic credentials are disclosed,'” Oshoma noted.

He warned against the perception of inaction, explaining the political implications: “And then some will say, ‘Well, he won’t go that route, because if he goes there, the man will say, “You too.”‘”

Oshoma argued that a thorough investigation would provide clarity and closure. “So that’s why there’s a need for conclusion in this—a foreclosure. And what is foreclosure? An investigation,” he explained.

The lawyer also called on law enforcement to act independently. “And then, the police also should not wait for a petition, the IG should take up this matter and conclude and conduct an investigation instead of this idea—and also use it as an opportunity to show independence,” Oshoma urged.
