According to a report by the Daily Trust on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, The family of Muhammad Shuaibu, who was kidnapped alongside his two daughters in Zhibi, a community neighbouring Dei-Dei town in FCT, has revealed that Muhammad Shuaibu’s wife knelt down and kept pleading with the gunmen to spare her baby, and they spared them.
It was reported that the gunmen suspected to have kidnapped them broke into the home of the victims around 12am through the backyard door after they destroyed a burglar-proof padlock.
A family member recounted the incident, saying the robbers entered the room where the family head’s wife was sleeping. She woke up to find them in her room and quickly ran to her husband’s room. The intruders gathered all the family members in the sitting room, threatening to take them. However, the wife knelt down and pleaded with the robbers to spare her baby, which led them to spare both her and the child.
The family member said, “They (gunmen) summoned all the family members to the sitting room, threatening to take all of them. But the wife knelt down and kept pleading with them to spare her baby. That made them spare her and the baby.” See, More, Here>>>
