The Lebanese Shia Islamist political party and paramilitary group which is popularly known as Hezbollah had publicly thrown its weight behind the recent decision of the Palestinian nationalist Sunni Islamist political organization, which is known as Hamas to engage in consultations with other Palestinian factions regarding a proposed American plan to end the prolonged Gaza genocidal war that resulted in the death of tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
According to a report by the Iran News Agency on Sunday 5 October, 2025, the Lebanese Shia Islamist political party and paramilitary group which is popularly known as Hezbollah, underscored the critical coordination among Israel’s adversaries at a pivotal moment, praising the resistance group, Hamas for its adherence to the principles, and constants of the Palestinian issue by choosing the path of coordination with other resistance groups.
They also framed such internal Palestinian dialogue as the bedrock of any legitimate future negotiations, stating “Hamas showed its adherence to the principles and constants of the Palestinian issue through consultation and coordination with other resistance groups. This position reflects the Palestinian national unity that must be the basis for any negotiations. The goal of negotiations between Palestinian groups is the complete withdrawal of the enemy from Gaza, preventing the displacement of residents, and providing conditions for political, security, and livelihood management by the Palestinians themselves, relying on domestic power.”
The Lebanese group, Hezbollah went further to declare that the ultimate aim must be the complete withdrawal of the Israeli forces from Gaza, an immediate end to the aggression and genocide, and a firm stand against the displacement of Palestinians, insisting that the good citizens of Palestine must themselves manage all political, security, and livelihood affairs, relying on their own domestic power.
They also urge nations to stand firmly with the Palestinian people and their resistance, emphasizing that the struggle was interconnected, further highlighting Hezbollah’s strategy of internationalizing the conflict, and mobilizing diplomatic and popular pressure to help the Palestinians achieve their legitimate rights.
