Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church (IESC) Worldwide, has issued a warning to former President Goodluck Jonathan, advising him not to contest in the 2027 presidential election.
In a video message published on YouTube from 00:51 to, Ayodele said Jonathan should avoid political pressure urging him to return to power, claiming that such a move would not yield success. “Jonathan, don’t contest. You will not win,” the cleric declared.
Ayodele described attempts to push Jonathan into the political race as deceptive, stating that those encouraging him do not have his best interests at heart. He said, “Jonathan is being deceived. He will not get it. Jonathan should be careful; they are trying to plot against his life. Jonathan should watch his life.”
The cleric further cautioned that Jonathan’s involvement in the 2027 contest could expose him to political and personal risks. He called on the former president to focus on his safety and legacy rather than political ambition.
Primate Ayodele also linked his warning to ongoing political alignments involving opposition figures such as Atiku Abubakar, noting that the coming election period would bring intense competition and internal divisions among political elites.
While Goodluck Jonathan has not publicly confirmed any intention to contest, his name has repeatedly surfaced in political discussions, particularly regarding potential alliances ahead of the next general election.
Ayodele, known for making bold political predictions, maintained that the outcome would not favor Jonathan if he re-enters the race. See, More, Here>>>
