Bishop Matthew Kukah has expressed surprise at how people often remember him for his past kindnesses

In an interview with Arise TV from 20:11, Bishop Kukah said while walking to catch a plane, a pilot came out of the aircraft, knelt before him, and told him that he had once served as his altar boy in Lagos.

Bishop Kukah said he had a similar experience in Sokoto. He said he wanted to board a flight and as he got to the aircraft, the pilot came and also knelt to greet him. He said the pilot later explained that more than ten years earlier, he had written a recommendation letter that helped him secure his job as a pilot.
