Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has fired back at journalist Rufai Oseni of Arise News following his recent comments. Rufai had earlier claimed that the FCT Minister had not responded to allegations of land grabbing leveled against him.
Reacting on his X account, Olayinka dismissed Rufai’s claim, saying the Minister had already addressed the matter during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today. He mocked Rufai, suggesting that the journalist must have been busy working on a documentary about goats and dogs at the time Wike gave his response, and that was why he missed it.
Olayinka also criticized Rufai’s style of handling issues, accusing him of refusing to admit when he makes mistakes. According to him, Rufai often reacts with arrogance rather than simply owning up to being wrong.
The aide, however, went on to add that Rufai still had the opportunity to invite him to the Arise Morning Show, where he would gladly respond directly and set the record straight.
In his words, “I am sure this one was busy doing documentary on goats and dogs when the Minister responded on Channels TV’s Politics Today.”
