The former Vice President and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for not showing care towards the suffering of Nigerians.
This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
His statement is coming on the 65th Independence Day celebration of Nigeria. In the post that the former Vice President shared on his page, he said since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came on board, Nigerians have been hungry. Atiku Abubakar stated that insecurity in the country has worsen.
The former Vice President said every responsible government holds the welfare and security of its citizens as supreme but the case is different when speaking about the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Atiku Abubakar said the current administration has abandoned its people. He however, ended his statement by saying that no matter what Nigerians are going through today, they will have the opportunity to unseat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election in 2027.
