Peter Ameh, the National Secretary of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) and former chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), has criticized Nyesom Wike, Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
In a recent interview shared by SYMFONI TV from 34.41, Ameh said Wike should not be taken seriously because he has changed his position on important political issues. He recalled how Wike once described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a corrupt party and mocked politicians who left their opposition parties to join the ruling party. According to Ameh, Wike is now doing the same things he used to condemn.
Ameh accused Wike of trying to weaken the opposition, especially the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), where he was once a strong figure. He argued that Wike’s loyalty is no longer to the opposition but to his personal interests, since he is now a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Highlighting Wike’s lifestyle, Ameh claimed the FCT minister rides around in a Rolls-Royce car, a symbol of extreme wealth, while also enjoying the privileges of government office. He added that leaders like Wike have been in politics since 1999, yet Nigeria is still struggling with problems like poverty, unemployment, and insecurity.
In his words, “He has a Rolls-Royce that he rides, he’s Inside, and everybody sees it. These are people who have been in government since 1999.” See, More, Here>>>>
