Dr. Majeeh Dahiru, a political analyst, has stated that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike should avoid creating fresh problems with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and allow peace to continue in the state.
In an interview with Nigeria Info FM from 4:56, Dahiru said if Wike decides to complain about Fubara again, it is unlikely that President Bola Tinubu will declare another state of emergency in Rivers State just to bring Fubara to order. He said Wike has already used up his “lifeline” in the crisis. According to him, Wike has had his way in the conflict, conquered Fubara politically, and won the battle.
However, Dahiru said that for Wike not to lose the war in the long run, he should now adjust his approach. He said Wike should allow Fubara to operate fully as a governor. He said if Wike tells Fubara to do anything and he resists, Wike should leave him alone and focus on his duties in the FCT.
In Dahiru’s words: “If for instance he complains about Fubara again, I don’t think the president will declare a second state of emergency to bring Fubara to order. I doubt. So for me he was exhausted his life line, he has had his way, he has conquered Fubara, he has won the battle but so that he does not lose the war in the long run, he should now also readjust and allow Fubara to be within certain levels. If he tries to tell him one or two things to do and the man resists, let him just not make trouble about it and just focus on his job in FCT”. See, More, Here>>>>
