According to a report by Al Jazeera, on September 16, 2025, Jordan’s King Abdullah II has described the recent Israeli attack on Doha as “living proof” that the Israeli threat is “without limits,” calling for a response that is “clear, decisive and, above all, deterring.”
Speaking at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, the Jordanian monarch emphasized the urgent need for practical decisions to confront Israel’s ongoing actions and to restore peace in the region.
King Abdullah offered his deepest condolences to Qatar and its leader, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for the victims of the attack, describing Israel’s assault as a blatant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that pushes the Middle East toward more conflict.
He stressed that Qatar’s security is intrinsically linked to the security and stability of the Arab world as a whole.
The King underscored that Israel continues to pursue expansionist policies in the occupied West Bank, severely undermining any prospects for a two-state solution.
He warned that the Israeli government’s persistence in these aggressive actions is emboldened by the international community allowing it to act above the law.
At the summit, King Abdullah called for moving beyond condemnation toward coordinated and concrete practical measures to end the war in Gaza and prevent further displacement of Palestinians.
He insisted that the response from Arab and Islamic nations must send a strong deterrent message to Israel to halt its aggressions permanently.
The summit gathered Arab and Islamic leaders united in condemning the Israeli attack on Qatar, which targeted a Hamas delegation engaged in peace talks.
The leaders expressed absolute solidarity with Qatar and stressed the need to safeguard shared security, protect Jerusalem’s holy sites, and commit to a just peace for the Palestinians.
