It was a sad and heartbreaking day for the family of Mama Salomi, a mother of six children, whose life was cruelly taken by unknown attackers in Bauchi State.
In a video shared by AIT News, according to her son, Simeon Benjamin, Mama Salomi had left home for her farm between 8 and 9 a.m., telling the family she planned to return around 10 a.m. But as the day went by, no one heard from her. By 6 p.m., her daughter-in-law noticed she had not come home and raised an alarm, saying it was unusual for Mama Salomi to stay that long at the farm.
The family quickly organized a search. “We scattered ourselves in the farm, searching for her whereabouts,” Simeon explained. Sadly, their worst fears were confirmed. They discovered her body on a nearby farm. “We found her Corpse, lying dead and naked,” he revealed.
Simeon said in grief that there was a mark on her neck, showing she had been strangled. It seemed she struggled before her attackers overpowered her.
The discovery left the family in shock and pain. Simeon added that he did not suspect Fulani herders, noting that the area was covered and not where they usually entered. The farm, he said, was also very close to a house, making the attack even more surprising.
