Edward Onoja is a northern politician who discusses the risk of declining support for President Tinubu in northern Nigeria. He argues against generalizing northern voting patterns while acknowledging feelings of neglect among some communities.

According to an interview on Mic On Podcast, Onoja emphasizes that northern regions are diverse and don’t vote uniformly. He attributes concerns about declining support to perceptions of neglect and opposition propaganda rather than substantive policy failures. See, More, Here>>>>

According to Edward Onoja, he said, “There are those who think that the northern votes might go with Goodluck Jonathan. I’m from the north. I’m from Kogi state. I’m from Ankpa and if you ask me I cannot say, you cannot generalize the north. There could be the core north, there could be the middle belt area and how we vote is not always the same. The feeling of neglect, of being left behind. Why is that happening? When you say APC, the north gave us our votes. President Buhari’s regime. That’s APC. It’s all about perception and opposition propaganda sometimes and that’s the major problem with our country. This sentiment of tribe and religion, it doesn’t make for growth”.
