Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to a viral video where a man insulted Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Oba of Lagos. In the video, the man also urged Igbo people in Lagos to take up arms and resist any aggression.

Olayinka, in a post on his X account, described the man as “the new Simon Ekpa,” comparing him to the Finland-based agitator known for inciting violence in Nigeria. He stressed that he hopes the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies are already tracing the man before his comments cause unrest.

By calling for immediate action, Olayinka is urging authorities to prevent trouble before it begins.

In his words, “This one is calling on Igbo people to take up arms and wage war against Yorubas in Lagos, including the Governor, Jide Sanwo-Olu, and Oba of Lagos. I hope the Nigerian Police and other security agencies are already on the trail of this new Simon Ekpa.”
