During a television interview, lawyer and political affairs analyst Liborous Oshoma challenged the credibility of former government officials who now speak out against current policies after maintaining silence during the previous administration.
He expressed his views on TVC News from 42:29, stating, “For the 8 years of Buhari, you did not complain—you didn’t find your voice. If anybody complained about Buhari, you would insult the living daylight out of the person.
You maintained a conspiracy of silence.” Oshoma’s comments aimed to question the motives of officials criticizing the current government, suggesting that their silence during Buhari’s tenure undermines their current criticisms.
He implied that their sudden outspokenness is suspicious, given their previous lack of opposition. The lawyer’s remarks reflect ongoing debates about political integrity and consistency among public officials.
Oshoma’s critique highlights the perception that some officials may be opportunistically shifting their stance for personal or political gain. His comments have sparked discussions among viewers about the authenticity of political criticisms and the importance of consistency in public service.
