Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has predicted major shifts in the global financial system, declaring that the dominance of the U.S. dollar will soon face unprecedented challenges. Speaking during a prophetic session, Ayodele said the dollar would begin to weaken from next year, largely due to the growing influence of the BRICS alliance and its planned common currency.
“You will see that at a certain point, as from next year, the dollar will be getting weak,” Ayodele stated. “The moment the BRICS nation launches their money, they will use it to fight dollar. And dollar may go silent because of Donald Trump’s policies and what have you. However, the BRICS nation will dominate. There’s no amount of fight that Trump wants to fight them that he can win.”
The prophecy touches on one of the most hotly debated topics in international economics—the rise of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) as a counterweight to Western financial dominance. In recent years, the bloc has expanded to include new members and has been exploring the creation of a shared currency aimed at reducing reliance on the dollar for global trade.
Ayodele’s remarks suggest that this initiative could soon deal a heavy blow to the dollar’s role as the world’s primary reserve currency. If fulfilled, it would mark a historic turning point in global finance, reshaping trade relations, investment flows, and geopolitical power balances.
Economists agree that the dollar’s strength has long underpinned U.S. influence worldwide. However, with increasing tensions between the West and emerging economies, particularly amid sanctions, currency volatility, and protectionist policies, alternative systems have gained momentum. The cleric tied part of the dollar’s predicted decline to former U.S. President Donald Trump, who has announced another run for the White House. According to Ayodele, Trump’s policies, particularly his confrontational approach to global trade, will accelerate the weakening of the currency.
Financial experts note that while the BRICS currency project is still in development, even the speculation of such a system has pushed debates about “de-dollarization” into mainstream policy discussions. Countries like Russia and China have already increased trade settlements in their local currencies, bypassing the dollar in certain transactions.
For Nigeria and other developing economies, Ayodele’s prophecy has significant implications. A weaker dollar could affect exchange rates, debt servicing, and international reserves. It may also bring relief in some areas, particularly in countries where dollar strength has driven inflation and capital flight. At the same time, uncertainties around a BRICS currency could create new risks for global financial stability.
Primate Ayodele, known for his wide-ranging predictions spanning politics, economics, and international affairs, urged observers not to dismiss the prophecy. He emphasized that the shift would be undeniable once the BRICS nations move forward with their currency plans.
