Former Kaduna central senatorial district lawmaker and renowned human rights activist, Senator Shehu Sani has made a remarkable statement regarding the recent rejection of Nigerian travellers across the globe because of the actions of few bad ones. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that it was time to take actions against them.
Across the globe, Nigerian travellers encounter severe challenges ranging from rejection to labelling. This, According to Senator Shehu Sani, was as a result of the actions of few bad eggs.
However, the recent escalation in the restriction of Nigerians in more countries had generated grievous concerns prompting the renowned former federal lawmaker to provide a blueprint to tackling the menace.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he advised the Nigerian immigration to take actions against the few bad eggs who had records of misconduct.
He further pointed out that Nigeria as a whole must not sit down and do nothing while the image of the country was being put to disrepute as a result of the activities of the few engaged in fraudulent activities.
“In view of the fact that more countries are restricting Nigerian travellers because of the activities of few bad eggs, time has come for our Nigerian Immigration to take action against our own citizens with records of breaches of law or violations abroad. We must not sit down and do nothing while the image and reputation of our country is tarnished by a handful of citizens engaged in fraudulent practices abroad.” He wrote.
