In a recent Facebook video from 05:51, Primate Ayodele issued a stern warning concerning the future of Syria and the international interests surrounding it.
He cautioned that Syria remains a critical target due to its natural resources, stressing that the country’s leadership must remain vigilant against external powers.
According to him, Syria faces looming threats not just from regional actors but also from world powers with competing agendas.
Primate Ayodele specifically identified several nations he believes will play key roles in destabilizing Syria for their own gain. He said,
“I warn Syria, Israel, Russia and US, even Turkey, all this country will terrorise Syria because of their natural resources.”
He explained that these countries, despite their alliances and rivalries, share a common interest in exploiting Syria rather than supporting its people or sovereignty.
The cleric emphasized that Syrians, alongside whoever holds the position of president, cannot afford to be complacent in the face of these threats.
In his words, “so the Syria people and whoever the president is must not sleep because all this four country are only after their interest.”
Primate Ayodele’s message highlights the fragile state of Syria, which has already endured years of conflict and foreign interference.
His warning suggests that the struggles of the nation are far from over, as powerful countries continue to prioritize their strategic and economic interests over peace and stability in the region.
