According to a report published by Punch on Saturday, September 6, 2025, Ojaigho Prosper, widely recognized as GehGeh, has quickly established himself as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising social media influencers.

With an impressive following of 2.7 million on TikTok and 936,000 on Instagram, GehGeh continues to captivate audiences with his unique style and thought-provoking content.

In an interview with Oghenovo Egodo-Michael, he opened up about his views on gender dynamics in relationships and the reasoning behind the advice he often shares.

When asked why his guidance seems directed primarily toward men rather than women, GehGeh explained that his position actually supports women even more.

In his words, “My advice actually favours women more than men.”

To illustrate this, he drew from his personal life story.

He recounted how his father’s death in 2015 exposed him and his siblings to the harsh realities of financial hardship.

Before then, he had not realized his family was struggling.

That same year, he gained admission into the university, while several of his siblings were also in school, leaving their mother with the heavy burden of sustaining the family.

“My father passed on in 2015. I never knew I came from a poor family until my dad died.”

Reflecting on this period, GehGeh emphasized the resilience and hard work of his mother, who managed to keep the family afloat despite the difficult circumstances.

He posed a rhetorical question to highlight the importance of women being financially independent: “If my mother was not hardworking, what would have happened to me and my siblings?”

Using this personal experience, GehGeh stressed that total dependence on men can put women at risk if unforeseen circumstances arise.

He questioned the sustainability of relationships where women choose not to work, asking, “So, if a woman isn’t working and depends solely on a man, what happens when that man leaves?”

For GehGeh, his advice is not to undermine men but to encourage women to build self-reliance and resilience.

He believes that true empowerment comes from the ability of women to stand strong, regardless of challenges, just as his mother did when life suddenly changed for their family.
