Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has claimed that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun is planning to get his bank account.
This statement was contained in a viral video that was posted on the official X handle of Omoyele Sowore on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
In the video that surfaced online, Omoyele Sowore stated that the people came on Tuesday to request for his bank account. The former presidential candidate condemned the act.
Sowore stated that there is no reason for anyone to handover his bank account to the Inspector General of Police.
“I am sure that they are planning another charge because they also came yesterday to request for my bank account to be given to the IGP. There is no reason to give my bank account to the IGP.
