Professor Usman Yusuf, former executive secretary of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has weighed in on the rising insecurity level across Nigeria.

The president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, since the emergence of his administration, has been vocal about his intentions to end banditry and completely neutralize insecurity across the country.

Professor Yusuf also maintained that during the tenure of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, he, alongside Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, an Islamic cleric, had visited nine different forests in various Nigerian states, and in the course of their journey, they met the so-called bandits.
