Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stern warning about the 2027 general elections, predicting widespread rigging, violent uprisings, and political crises across Nigeria if urgent steps are not taken.

Speaking during a prophetic session from 03:10, Ayodele declared that some sitting governors would lose their positions unless they resort to rigging, which he described as a dangerous path that could spark nationwide revolt.

“That’s why some governors, mark my word, not all these governors, except they rig,” Ayodele said. “There are some governors that they will lose their seat. Except the only way they can win is rigging. And we will revolt against rigging. People will stand against rigging. No, we disagree.”

The cleric, who has become widely known for his political predictions, warned that Nigerians will not tolerate electoral fraud in 2027. According to him, any attempt to subvert the will of the people will be fiercely resisted, unlike in previous elections.

“In 2027, there will be rigging, violence, and of course, several crises,” Ayodele cautioned. “So it’s the crisis that Christians, believers should be praying about. That we don’t want violence in this election. Because in this election, no go agree. No go agree, no go agree.”

Ayodele’s prophecy echoes growing concerns among civil society groups and pro-democracy advocates about electoral integrity and the rising impatience of Nigerians with governance failures. He emphasized that the stakes in 2027 will be higher than in past polls, as citizens are more conscious of their rights and more determined to defend their votes.

“The people will not fold their hands again,” he stressed. “The anger is building, and it will explode if politicians think they can use the old tactics of rigging to stay in power.”

He urged religious leaders and faith communities to intensify prayers to avert the looming violence. According to him, only divine intervention can prevent Nigeria from sliding into chaos during the next electoral cycle.

“This is not just politics,” Ayodele said. “It is about the destiny of the nation. If we don’t pray and act, the 2027 elections will bring bloodshed, hatred, and division. But if we seek God and stand firm, peace can prevail.”

Ayodele’s remarks add to ongoing debates about the credibility of Nigeria’s electoral system, following controversies from the 2023 general elections, which were marred by allegations of irregularities, technical failures, and disputes that ended up in the courts.

With 2027 still two years away, the cleric’s warning serves as both a prophecy and a call to action for politicians, electoral bodies, and citizens to ensure that the coming elections reflect the will of the people.

“The truth is simple,” Ayodele concluded. “Governors who think they can only win by rigging will be disappointed. Nigerians will rise against them. And this time, no go agree.”
