Former Anambra State Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, George Muoghalu recently reacted to the inhumane treatment meted out to the female NYSC member identified as Miss Jennifer Elohor. According to his statements which were shared by VANGUARD, he pointed out that she should have been arrested no matter what she might have done.
The brutalization of a female NYSC member identified as Miss Jennifer Elohor by members of a security outfit in Anambra State generated controversies after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
While many condemned the actions of her assailants, others believed her actions which led to the dastardly acts meted out to her should be condemned. Credence was lent to this by a former Anambra gubernatorial candidate, George Muoghalu.
According to his statements which were shared by VANGUARD on Thursday August 21st 2025, he pointed out that while the inhumane treatment was unacceptable, she should have been arrested in the normal manner and handed over to the police.
He further pointed out that brutalizing her and bringing down her dignity was the highest form of rascality and and disregard for womanhood.
“It is unacceptable. No matter what the lady may have done, it should have been better to arrest her in the normal way and hand her over to the police, and not brutalizing and bringing down her dignity.” He said.
The statements from the former Anambra State governorship candidate came amid the backlash from the general public regarding the treatment meted out to Miss Jennifer Elohor.
