Social media has been abuzz with reactions following a viral video shared by Emmanson Comfort, a passenger who accused Ibom Air staff of assault and violating her privacy. The incident, which has sparked public outrage, reportedly occurred during a flight and escalated after landing.

According to reports by Vanguard on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Emmanson shared her side of the story on Instagram via her handle, @soft_commy. In the post, she recounted a disturbing encounter with a flight attendant, identified as Julian Edwards. Emmanson alleged that during the flight, she struggled to turn off her phone when requested during pre-flight checks. This minor issue, she claims, spiraled into a violent confrontation.

Upon landing in Lagos, the situation worsened. Emmanson alleged that Edwards insulted her by calling her a prostitute, blocked her from disembarking the aircraft, and physically attacked her. She claimed the flight attendant forcibly removed her frontal wig, cut off her gold jewelry, and damaged her mobile phones. The alleged assault left her with bruises and feeling deeply humiliated.

What made matters even more distressing for Emmanson was the aftermath. In a tearful video, she revealed that while being dragged off the plane, her body was exposed. Videos and photos of that moment have since circulated online, causing her immense emotional trauma. She stated that some individuals have even gone as far as turning her exposed image into social media stickers.

“The trauma is just too much. I cannot even go out there again. My body is out there. Some people have even used it to make stickers,” she said in the video.

Emmanson, a real estate consultant, expressed that the incident has severely impacted both her personal and professional life. She revealed that she is now afraid to meet clients and appear in public due to the widespread sharing of her private images.
