Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike recently reacted after the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State denied alliance with former governor Nasiru El-Rufai’s Social Democratic Party. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he disclosed what the chairman described the alliance.
Former Kaduna State governor and Chieftain of the ADC coalition, Nasiru El-Rufai has once again, come under the spotlight after his membership of the newly formed alliance was threatened.
This was contained in a recent post which Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike shared on his official X handle on Saturday.
According to the statements, the African Democratic Congress denied entering an agreement with the former governor’s Social Democratic Party ahead of the bye-elections in the state.
The denial was confirmed by the state’s chairman, Mr Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha who described the purported alliance as false and misleading. The statement however, out questions on the acceptability of Nasiru El-Rufai among his people.
“The ADC in Kaduna State is not in any coalition or alliance with the SDP or any politics party in the state. There is no written or verbal agreement to that effect.” Mallam Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha said.
While the statements from the chairman was well frowned at by many, it remains clear that former governor El-Rufai had not asserted his authority on political affairs in the state.
