Actress Elvina Ibru has spoken publicly about a disturbing encounter during a robbery at her boyfriend’s home, where she was sexually assaulted by armed robbers.
During an interview on With Chude, Elvina described how she went to the hospital for treatment following the assault, only to face an upsetting experience with one of the nurses.
She said the nurse, a fellow woman, asked her an inappropriate question about what she had been wearing during the incident. Elvina expressed her disbelief and disappointment at the nurse’s remark.
In her words: “When I got to the hospital, a nurse actually asked me, ‘Madam, when the man raped you, what were you wearing?’ I couldn’t believe a woman could ask that. I looked at her and said, ‘What has that got to do with anything?’”
