Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has delivered a stern prophecy concerning the political prospects of former presidential candidate and Labour Party leader, Peter Obi, ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general election

In a prophetic message shared via a Facebook broadcast through IESC Worldwide, Primate Ayodele declared that Peter Obi’s presidential ambition will not succeed unless he agrees to contest as a Vice Presidential candidate. He emphasized that Obi’s insistence on running independently would lead to a disappointing outcome.

“If Obi does not take Vice President, he cannot be president,” Ayodele said firmly. “Let any Obidient say anything, if he does not take Vice President, he will never be president. As he will say he wants to stand on his own, he will be in distant fourth.”

The spiritual leader stated that Obi’s path to the presidency is blocked unless he aligns strategically, suggesting that coalition-building is essential for any serious political contender in 2027. According to him, pride or a refusal to compromise will only lead to failure.

Ayodele’s message is seen as a caution not only to Obi but to his supporters, popularly known as “Obidients,” many of whom have remained loyal to the former Anambra State governor since his impactful 2023 campaign. His prophecy challenges the popular belief that Obi’s growing influence and grassroots support might be enough to carry him to victory in 2027.

This is not the first time Primate Ayodele has made bold political predictions. Over the years, he has gained a reputation for controversial and sometimes accurate forecasts on national and international issues. His latest comment has already sparked conversations on social media, especially among political analysts and Labour Party loyalists.

While Peter Obi has not officially declared his intention for 2027, his consistent presence in the political space and public discourse keeps the possibility alive. However, if Primate Ayodele’s prophecy is anything to go by, Obi may have to rethink his strategy if he hopes to eventually lead the country.
