One of the members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ralph Nwosu has explained how he was offered three ministerial slots in order to stop opposition leaders from using ADC as coalition platform.

This was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of Arise News on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

His statement is coming after former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi, David Mark, former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, former SGF, Babachir Lawal and many other opposition leaders adopted ADC as coalition platform to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next election.

In the report that surfaced online, Nwosu said when he was approached with the three ministerial slots, he rejected the offer because he wants democracy to continue to thrive in Nigeria.

He said he will never support anything that will make Nigeria to become one party system.

According to Arise News, Ralph Nwosu said that;

“Some people tried to discourage us with promises of automatic ministerial appointments.

“They want to give me three ministerial slots so that I can take one and give two to others that I chose. But I said no. I chose a democratic future of Nigeria”.
