In a recent video on Facebook from 06:15, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has declared that Labour Party’s Peter Obi has no realistic path to Nigeria’s presidency, warning him and his supporters not to waste time or resources on what he calls a futile ambition.
In a strongly worded prophetic statement, Primate Ayodele said, “I am sure you can’t be president. Don’t waste your time. It’s just like Obi. Obi is disobedient. Obi cannot be president.”
The cleric dismissed the momentum surrounding the former Anambra State governor’s presidential aspirations, referring to the Obidient movement as an emotional wave that lacks political structure and national acceptability. He criticized the constant advocacy and social media campaigns by Obi’s supporters as ineffective.
“They begin to talk from morning to night. We don’t make Obi the president,” Ayodele said, suggesting that enthusiasm alone cannot produce electoral victory.
He further advised Obi to reconsider his campaign investments, particularly in Northern Nigeria, warning that such efforts will not yield positive outcomes due to deep-seated political and religious dynamics.
“Obi, don’t waste your money to the North. The North doesn’t want Christians as a president. That money you are putting in the North is a waste,” he declared.
Ayodele’s remarks come at a time when speculation continues about potential presidential contenders for the 2027 elections. While Obi remains a popular figure among many young Nigerians, especially in the South, Primate Ayodele insists his chances remain slim, if not impossible.
The cleric has long been known for his political prophecies and blunt public commentary. Though controversial, his pronouncements often stir debate and force reflection within Nigeria’s political landscape.
He concluded by urging political actors to seek divine guidance rather than rely on popularity or financial power, insisting that leadership is ultimately decided by spiritual will and destiny.
