According to Daily Post Nigeria, July 28, 2025, Isaac Fayose has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and his elder brother, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, are plotting to have him arrested.
This development follows closely after Isaac publicly claimed that Ayodele Fayose no longer holds any political relevance in Ekiti State.
Daily Post reports that Isaac, a businessman and vocal commentator, has been openly criticising the N39 billion allegedly spent by Wike on the renovation of the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja.
During a recent visit to the renovated ICC, he demanded that Wike provide a detailed breakdown of how the funds were utilised.
In a new video released on Sunday night, Isaac who is currently abroad spending time with his family reiterated his claim that both Wike and his brother are behind a plot to arrest him.
Speaking in pidgin, he said, “They said Wike and Mr. Ayo Fayose are planning to arrest me. You are too small. I am one man MOPOL; I don’t run from you. I’m ready.”
He questioned why efforts are being made to intimidate his family and scare his elderly mother while he is away, asking why he wasn’t arrested before he left the country. Isaac emphasised that he would return home soon and would not flee from anyone.
He vowed to pursue a probe into the ICC renovation project, adding that even if the current administration doesn’t initiate an investigation, a future government surely will. He revealed that he has already written to the Code of Conduct Bureau and the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Valuers to assess the actual cost of the ICC renovation, stressing that he is willing to fund the evaluation himself.
Isaac also promised to investigate the Ekiti State airport project, insisting that anyone found culpable will be held accountable eventually. He maintained that he is not afraid of his brother Ayodele Fayose or Wike and stated that prisons are meant for people, especially those who speak the truth.
He concluded by saying Wike must be accountable for public funds, and while this administration may shield him now, it won’t last forever. He reaffirmed his readiness to face arrest if it comes.
