‎Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may come fourth in the 2027 general elections, as reported by Punch on Saturday, 26 July, 2025.

‎Fayose, who is a well-known member of the PDP, expressed concern over the condition of the party.

‎He said that the PDP was facing serious internal problems and lacked unity.

‎According to him, these challenges have weakened the party’s chances in future elections.

‎He also pointed out that many important members had left the PDP.

‎Fayose said the party was no longer strong enough to win national elections.

‎He warned that unless things change, the PDP could come fourth in 2027.

‎He predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would come first in the next election.

‎He placed Labour Party’s Peter Obi in second position and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in third.

‎He then said the PDP would likely finish in fourth place.

‎Fayose criticized the PDP leadership, accusing them of mismanaging the party.

‎He said they had failed to carry loyal members along and had ignored those who had worked hard for the party’s growth.

‎He described the current state of the PDP as empty and broken.

‎“The APC will come first, Obi will come second, ADC (African Democratic Congress) will come third, and the PDP will come fourth, go and write it down,” Fayose said.
