Former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, made a bold appearance in Port Harcourt on Thursday, where he addressed a crowd of enthusiastic African Democratic Congress (ADC) supporters during a political rally.
In his address, Amaechi declared that the days of manipulating election results in Rivers State must come to an end. He urged ADC members to rise up and challenge what he described as “merchants of election results,” insisting that he has no intention of aligning with anyone unwilling to tackle electoral malpractice head-on.
The former minister did not hold back his criticisms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, asserting that the current government is causing hardship for ordinary Nigerians. Amaechi warned that if Tinubu were to clinch a second term, the suffering could worsen to the point where citizens would be “dead and buried.”
Reassuring the crowd, Amaechi pledged that under the ADC, Nigerians can look forward to better days, promising that the party would deliver policies aimed at bringing relief and happiness to the people.
