‎‎The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has stated that it is gaining strong support in northern Nigeria, as reported by Daily Post on Wednesday, 23 July, 2025.

‎The party said many northern political leaders who feel ignored by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are now joining its coalition.

‎Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC spokesperson, said this in an interview.

‎He explained that several former APC members in the North are unhappy with how the government is treating the region.

‎According to him, these politicians are now working with the ADC.

‎Abdullahi said the majority of ADC’s leaders are from the North.

‎He believes that people in the region have lost trust in the APC.

‎He said the current government has made life very difficult for Nigerians, especially in the North.

‎He added that the suffering in the last two years under the APC has made people search for a better option.

‎He described ADC as the only true alternative that can bring relief to the people.

‎The party spokesman urged Nigerians to trust the ADC. He said the ruling party has failed to meet the needs of the citizens.

‎According to him, the government is punishing the people through poor leadership and bad policies.

‎Abdullahi said Nigerians should not have to go through the same hardship again in the next four years.

‎He promised that the ADC is ready to bring change, peace, and good governance to the country.

‎He also said the party is working hard to strengthen its presence across Nigeria.

‎But its biggest support, for now, is coming from the North, where people are tired of the APC’s rule.

‎He called on voters to stand with the ADC in the next election.

‎He said it is time to choose a new path for the country, especially for the northern region that has suffered the most.

‎Abdullahi ended by saying that Nigerians deserve better, and ADC is ready to provide that better future.

‎“All the people who were in APC and are not happy with how things are going are in this coalition now. The majority of our leaders are from the North. The North knows it doesn’t want this APC government to continue because of how they’ve been treated.

‎If you look back at the last two years and the way the government has made life hard, you’ll see that ADC is the only real alternative,” he said.
