In a candid interview on Channels TV from 7:09, a lawyer and public affairs analyst, Daniel Bwala shared an insightful revelation from a data analysis conducted during the election campaign, which found that over half of the Peter Obi supporters (57.3%) were not living in Nigeria.

He argued that this distance from the reality and consequences of Nigerian politics has given these supporters a dangerous sense of detachment and recklessness, allowing them to advocate for extreme positions that could potentially cause harm to the country without facing the consequences themselves.

He suggested that this phenomenon has contributed to a disconnect between the grassroots reality of Nigeria and the social media-driven discourse of the Peter Obi movement.

He said, “When I was with Atiku Abubakar during the campaign, we commissioned this data analysis and we ran a poll and we discovered that 57.3% of those who posed themselves as Obidients are not living in Nigeria. When you are not there in the trenches and nothing that is happening there affects you, you have the luxury of setting the country on fire. When you have the greater number of people advocating for him (Obi) don’t even live in Nigeria to look at the reality. They don’t mind they fuel up and burn the country.”…..Sée Móre
