One of the chieftains of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okphebolo has asked the former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate, Peter Obi to explain where he got the money that he donated when he visited Edo state.
This was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of PUNCH on Friday, July 18, 2025.
The Edo state governor made the statement after the former governor of Anambra state visited a Nursing school and donated the sum of N15 million to the management.
In the report that surfaced online, Monday Okphebolo questioned where Peter Obi got the money that he donated. He also warned the former governor of Anambra state not to visit Edo state without obtaining security clearance.
Here is what Monday Okphebolo said according to PUNCH;
“That man who says he has no ‘shishi’ came and dropped N15 million. Where did he get it from? After he left, three people were killed”.
