Chief Olabode George, a respected elder statesman and senior member of the PDP, has revealed that Atiku Abubakar once admitted during a meeting in Lagos that he was part of those who manipulated the process that eventually helped Bola Tinubu become President. According to him, Atiku apologized for that role and acknowledged the part he played in shaping the outcome.
He reflected on how ironic it is that Tinubu is now President, urging politicians to act with integrity and conscience. He said the whole situation is a reminder that whatever choices are made in politics, they have consequences. Drawing from the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, he emphasized the importance of living by a simple principle: put God first, others second, and yourself last.
He said in an interview with Channels TV from 18:30, “He (Atiku)was in Lagos. He told us that he had to apologize to us because he was part of those who manipulated the results to put Bola Tinubu perpetually there. So who is now in the villa? We must have the fear of God in us in everything you do in life. Everything. You can see the lesson we should learn from Baba Buhari’s demise: God first, your neighbor second, and then you. That is the doctrine, the discipline of life”
