During a heartfelt interview with Arise Television, Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda revealed the overwhelming turnout of dignitaries who came to Katsina in honor of the late President Muhammadu Buhari. He highlighted the logistical challenges that accompanied the influx, underscoring just how highly regarded the former president was, both locally and nationally.

Governor Radda recounted how the high volume of incoming flights to Katsina Airport created a serious bottleneck, even for top government officials. The airspace and parking capacity were so stretched that not everyone who attempted to attend could land.

According to him, “I have been busy receiving some governors, including the senate president, who was in Katsina yesterday, but he has been on the air for over one and a half hours. We couldn’t get a landing permit; he had to go back to Abuja because most of the aircraft that came yesterday were pushed back to some airports because there was no place for parking because of the number of visitors that came to Katsina.”
