The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election has revealed what former President, Muhammadu Buhari told him when he met him during campaign.
His statement was contained in a viral video that was posted on the official X handle of ARISE NEWS on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
He made the statement after he visited the home of Muhammadu Buhari in Daura to pay his last respect.
In the viral video that surfaced online, Peter Obi said when he met Buhari during campaign, he told him to take care of the poor people in Nigeria.
“I had the opportunity of meeting him while I was campaigning and I could remember his words till today, “Please, care for the poor Nigerians”. That is what I always remember. I believe he did his best within his capacity.
